Rock Band, possibly the most innovative gaming experience since Guitar Hero, is here on November 20, 2007. Using unique peripherals such as a microphone, drum set and guitar, this game should be the hottest interactive this fall.
Not only is it going to be the greatest time of your life jamming out with your friends and singing to the tightest tunes, it’s going to have so many features that are so remarkable. You can also play by yourself and the fun will still be there. Created by Harmonix, the same company that brought you Guitar Hero 1, 2 and 3, Rock Band allows you to download new songs straight to your console. The prices are said to be in the range of $2 per song and in a bundle of three songs for $5.50. So, if you get tired of the songs being repeated (which I am hoping your not) you can simply get on your XBOX 360 or Playstation 3 and download the songs that you want. Of course, every song that has ever been made isn’t going to be up for grabs, but there will be a big selection when the release of Rock Band comes.
The guitar has two sets of fret buttons instead of just one. The second set is for button tapping. This is very useful while playing long and difficult solos. Also, a positive thing for that, you don’t need to strum the guitar, just the tap of a button, Yay!! The drums are also unique in that they are just like an actual drum set. They use real drum sticks. So if you’re a really talented and experienced drummer, then you should be able to pick up and play no problem. Also, the drum pedal is able to stand up to abuse that real drum sets are used to. The microphone has an authentic feel to it because it has the same weight and texture to it as a real microphone. You can tap the microphone against your hand, or if you want to be creative, your hip, to start using it as a tambourine or cowbell. How fun is that?
Want to make your own rocker? Well now you can because it has an all-new rocker creator which features so many unique attributes you can add on your rocker. Progress yourself through the game and get enough money to buy those pretty little pink boots that you want or those rad black boots with spikes coming out of the toe. Want a tattoo that you can modify its size, placement, and color? Now you can in Rock Band.
This game is said to be one of the greatest games coming out this year and will enjoyed by many. Will you be one of the many that enjoy this game? I hope so, because I know I will.
