Global Warming (What We Can Do)

Volume 4: January / February

by Robert Truong

As most of you know, global warming has happened, and is still going on. We, of course, are part of the problem! People are polluting our air day by day without even knowing it, and it is affecting our economy. In my opinion, because of us, it’s too late to completely stop global warming, but we can still do all we can to slow the process of global warming that is heating up our world and melting the ice caps. Here are ten ways we, as individuals, can help the world and keep global warming at bay without so much of a hassle.

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>SOLUTIONS

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>REASONS

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>1. Quit smoking, or at least keep
it at a minimum

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>One of the hugest contributors to
Global Warming, and can destroy your health

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>2. Keep your tires pumped

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>A well pumped tire can provide a
smooth ride, and also save gas mileage up to 5%

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>3. Walk or cycle to the place you
want to be at if not too far

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Won’t have to waste any gas, and
the environment can take a breather from those few miles saved

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>4. Look for hybrids or gas saving
cars

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Some cars trucks, vans, etc, use a
lot of gas, but hybrids will save gas and prevent more polluted air

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>5. Always adjust your thermostat
before sleeping or going out, or perhaps buy a programmable one

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Most houses are warm; all together
they can heat the earth, so keep the temperature down

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>6. RECYCLE glass aluminum,
plastic, cardboard, and newspapers.

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Recycling saves energy needed to
make new products

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>7. Use solar energy

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Since global warming is happening,
put it to good use and burn some of the leftover heat using solar panels to
power your appliances.

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>8. Purchase some plants and put
them in your yard

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Global warming is changing the
distribution of plants, so help build its population back up

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>9. Exercise

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Provides more CO2 which cases us
to have more oxygen, and won’t pollute the air with any gases

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>10. Become a catalyst

style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:Arial'>Plenty of people don’t know about
global warming, so give them a heads up (every little bit helps)

The world would be better off if everyone could do their part. Global warming would have to sit down for a couple of years, perhaps a lot of years if these easy ten steps can be done. Even if you can’t do these all the time, or just can’t do each of them, at least try to do some of them and just help out. Remember that we too are responsible for global warming, so let’s work together and help out saving our economy for our children, and perhaps their children to come.
