As you know, there is a presidential election that has already begun. Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are democrats that are running to be the next president of the US. Here’s some background information on the candidates and what they believe in.

Barack Obama

Barack Obama is the third African American who ran or running for office. In February 2007, standing before the Old State Capitol building in Springfield, Illinois, Obama announced his candidacy for the 2008 U.S. presidential election. He is planning on being the first black president of America.

Barack Obama was born to a white mother and a Nigerian Father.
Obama was naturally born in Hawaii to Barack Obama, Sr. and Ann Dunham.
