The Joys of Halo 3
by Alex Fonseca
In Halo 3, a game for the X-Box 360, there are many features for the gamer. These features include:
Matchmaking, which allows players to engage in “friendly” competitions between the players. 1up.com describes Halo‘s matchmaking as “With Halo 2, Bungie defined how games should be played online in the console space. The matchmaking system, its movable “couch,” and its series of ranked playlists were innovations in the console space that should have been ripped off consistently, since. When designing Halo 3’s matchmaking service, Bungie said that they wanted the experience to be as robust as the Halo 2 experience was on Xbox.”
Forge, allows the gamer to design individual maps which can be shared with friends and others on the Halo Community. Forge essentially allows the player to newly create an existing map by moving around structures, placing each and every individual grenade, weapon and object Forge even allows the player to chose where they will respawn after death.. Forge allows the player to create a map that can either be totally fair by having each weapon distributed equally, or one-sided ad having the most useful and powerful weapons appearing at there respawn points. Anything is possible.
Screenshots are the greatest new feature in Halo 3. Screenshots allow the player to take an in-game picture, of any kind or action. It s a feature that can produce many fun and hilarious pictures taken during times when a battle is at the peak of intensity. Imagine being able to take a picture of the sniper bullet just before it enters your brain, or a picture of a grenade exploding in your face. These are all possibilities which can be taken, manipulated and able to produce in any way, shape or form you see fit.
