About Us

Much like the symbol of LPS- San Jose, the phoenix, the Journalism department has been reborn this year. The new department is determined to bring about change by launching the new online newspaper, The Catalyst: an agent for change.

Our Mission:

We have united for one purpose: to make our world a better place. We will seek justice and respect as well as disseminate the truth. We will promote unity and convey thoughts and feelings for a diverse community. We will accomplish our mission by providing insight on current events and issues. We will get the job done without trampling others. Ignorance and animosity shall not be tolerated. We will deliver our stories with a thoughtful and objective view. We will never shy away from the issues other try to ignore. We will establish the reputation our school deserves and recognition in and out of our community. We will be honest leaders, increasing the determination of academic achievement of our fellow students. We are the voice of the future!
